The Asahi Pentax SP500 is my third vintage camera purchase for 2020. It took me a while to find batteries for the light meter (I eventually bought some from the UK via eBay), so this test is without the light meter and manually calculating the exposure time (I have some dark photos as a result). I had read about the hidden 1/1000 shutter setting and the knob did turn past 1/500 – the photos of the flowers and front yard are taken at 1/1000. I also used Kodak TMAX 100, the first time I’ve used a Kodak film in over 20 years, developed in Ilford ID-11.
Now that I have my batteries, I’ll have to test again with the light meter.
