Varenna is in the centre of Lake Como, on the eastern shores of the lake. It’s a gorgeous little village and was quite stunning on a bright and sunny winter day.

Life of a water dog
Dogs were the big winners in Melbourne’s lock down. I’ve never seen so many out and about while walking mine. Being a water dog, she takes every opportunity for a swim.
Day 1 of Melbourne lock down & pushing film
I had my camera, but only a roll of ISO 400 film and there was too little light to shoot by hand. I thought I’d try out pushing it to 800. Like so many photos of this time, the streets and station were eerily quiet. I like the dark blacks and the washed out highlights.

Konstanz, Germany
We had the most spectacular weather in Konstanz on New Year’s Day 2018. The lake and Imperia statue at the harbour entrance were stunning.
